Generic Name: Amoxicillin 1g and Clavulanic Acid 200mg
Amoclav 1.2 Injection is an antibacterial combination containing the antibiotic Amoxicillin and the β-lactamase inhibitor Clavulanic Acid. Amoxicillin gives broad-spectrum bactericidal activity, and Clavulanic acid inactivates β-lactamases, which are the main avenue of resistance by bacteria to β-lactam antibiotics such as Amoxicillin. Together, this combination extends the effective antibiotic spectrum of Amoxicillin.
